Okean 1-7 started APT during rev. #176 over the Black See at 13h 11min 10sec UT ascending. I copied a very dark vis-image 240 lpm from a max elevation of 12 deg, this showed the spacecraft clock was working at 973 mins after midnight moscow-time = 16h13mins Moscow-time = 13.13 UT. During next rev #177 APT was OFF. I wonder if the satellite is ever active over the US, please mail your observations. +------------------------------------------+ |Peter Henne (peter.henne@gmd.de) | | (henne@gmd.de) | |German Nat.Research Center.f.Comp.Science | |D-53754 St.AUGUSTIN, Germany | +------------------------------------------+ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 24 Oct 1994 13:33:56 EDT From: w1aw@arrl.org Subject: ARLS033 STS66 prelaunch Keps SB SPACE @ ARL $ARLS033 ARLS033 STS66 prelaunch Keps ZCZC AS77 QST de W1AW Space Bulletin 033 ARLS033 From ARRL Headquarters Newington, CT October 24, 1994 To all radio amateurs SB SPACE ARL ARLS033 ARLS033 STS66 prelaunch Keps STS-66 1 00066U 94307.76579162 .00051270 00000-0 16849-3 0 29 2 00066 56.9997 196.6306 0011659 276.4103 83.5649 15.89544561 20 Satellite: STS-66 Catalog number: 00066 Epoch time: 94307.76579162 = (03 NOV 94 18:22:44.40 UTC) Element set: 002 Inclination: 56.9997 deg RA of node: 196.6306 deg Space Shuttle Flight STS-66 Eccentricity: .0011659 Prelaunch element set JSC-002 Arg of perigee: 276.4103 deg Launch: 03 NOV 94 16:56 UTC Mean anomaly: 83.5649 deg Mean motion: 15.89544561 rev/day Gil Carman Decay rate: 5.1270e-04 rev/day sq NASA Johnson Space Center Epoch rev: 2 Checksum: 321 The deorbit burn will be on orbit 172 at MET 10/18:47 (Nov 14 at 11:43 UTC).
